The Above and Beyond Patriot Award

2004 RECIPIENT: Gary Sinise

The Above and Beyond Patriot Award (ABPA) is presented annually to a  civilian individual who contributed to the morale and welfare of the men and women in the United States military during the award year January through December. Specifically, the recipient of this award must have demonstrated an above and beyond  dedication to supporting our men and women in uniform. The nominee must not have received direct financial remunerations for his contribution nor have contributed as part of a political or social platform.

Nominations are submitted to the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum's ABPA committee. Members of the committee will include representatives from the military and civilian communities and will be a national committee. Based on criteria set by the committee, nominees are selected and a recipient is announced in March of each year.
