Annual Fund Campaign

Dear Friends of the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum,

The National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum is unlike any other art museum in the entire nation. NVVAM is the only museum committed to showing art created by those who have seen war. Through the museum’s activities, all of us—current military, veterans, citizens who have never seen war—honor their service and their sacrifice, and engage in a examination of the human experience of war.

We are asking you consider making a gift to NVVAM’s Annual Fund Campaign. Your financial contribution is an important source of revenue, enabling the museum to exhibit art, tour shows, develop educational programs and conserve the art it collects.

Our exhibits this year will include Trauma and Metamorphosis II, art of veterans that transforms their memories of atrocities into creative expression, The Things We Carried, a collection of fine art, photography and artifacts inspired in part by Tim O’Brien’s novel The Things They Carried, or Purple Hearts, a photographic portrait of returning Iraqi veterans, recipients of the Purple Heart, and what the national honor cost them.

Please consider a contribution to the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum to advance the museum’s exhibits, educational programs and art conservation. Your donation will directly support our exhibits and programming. If you have any questions, please contact Ruth Crnkovich at 312.326.0270.

Sincerely,

Mattew Keepman, Board Chair
