This fundraiser was born of the need to create an inexpensive initiative to save the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum (NVVAM), a one-of-a-kind art museum and the only one in the world dealing with the realities of war. Our veterans and artists use their art as part of the healing process. This is why the NVVAM continues its dedication to the healing arts.

Your commitment and contributions will ensure the future of this valuable organization and assist in promoting its mission to all.

Over the last several years, the Museum has faced challenges, like most not-for-profits and art organizations, to raise appropriate funding to continue to bring in new artists and their work, and to support ongoing operating costs. This has resulted in a compilation of debt that ticket sales and alternative means of fundraising, including grants, have been unable to relieve.

Our hope is to raise enough money to:

- erase this debt
- increase staff
- make essential building repairs
- begin an investment fund for operational expenses
- support troops and veteran organizations
- enhance veteran events – Awareness Run and The Above & Beyond Patriot Award
- enhance exhibits
- expand the educational program
- introduce additional new, emerging artists, poets, musicians and authors
